Putting it together

How the schemes stack up

Most buyers use more than one. These are the combinations we see most often in Perth and Peel.

Most common

Grant + land duty exemption + 5% deposit

Build a house and land package under the caps, pay no duty on the land, receive the $10,000 grant and avoid lenders mortgage insurance with a 5% deposit.

Smaller deposit

Grant + land duty exemption + Keystart

If you're within Keystart's income limits, you may be able to build with as little as a 2% deposit, still with the grant and duty savings.

Smaller loan

Grant + land duty exemption + Help to Buy

For buyers under the income limits, a government equity share of up to 40% can cut the size of your loan and your repayments.
